How often have you had an argument at home about what food to order? Forget cuisines from the world, if you’ve grown up in India you must be aware of the diversity of food and the versatile flavours every region has to offer. Melting Pot Tiffins, the newest entrant in town serves everything Indian from Kashmiri Yakhni of North India to Mangalorean Ghee Roast Chicken of South India.

We sampled food from Melting Pot Tiffins (by the same team responsible for the famous Cafe Lota) and we weren’t the least bit disappointed.

The food arrives in an inviting package: eco-friendly brown paper boxes having plenty of knick-knacks inside, which we kept unwrapping and tasting. So far we have gobbled up the Kashmiri tiffin, Dilli ka tiffin, South Indian tiffin, Anglo-Indian tiffin, Hyderabadi Mutton Khichda, Keema bao and the lovely Salted Caramel kheer.

The food is refreshing, contemporary, light, fresh and oh-so-delicious.

Star dishes

While there was nothing we didn’t like, the highlight of our meal was the Salted Caramel Kheer. We highly recommend you try this (even if you don’t have a sweet tooth). Other dishes we loved were Mutton Jhalfrezie with Masoor Dal Pulao (Anglo-Indian tiffin), Mutton Khichda, Keema Bao and Lotus Stem Sabzi (Dilli ka tiffin).

The portions sizes are generous. You might want to get 1 tiffin for 2 people if you are small eaters.

They have a delivery only service with their kitchen based out of Chattarpur. If you live in South Delhi, chances are that they will deliver to your location. Check out their website for more details.
