Chateau de Pondichery is your oasis in the otherwise chaotic Adchini: be prepared to be pleasantly teleported to the idyllic charm of Pondicherry.
The facade has big arch French glass panes from where you the see the teak wood tables and floral prints upholstered chairs (very French). The attention to detail in the ambience is remarkable. It makes one feel relaxed and at home.
As the name suggests, their menu sits comfortably at the intersection of French and Chettinad cuisines and crafted with pure sophistication.
We start with ‘Pink of Health’ salad, move to fish fry for appetisers combined with a tall glass of ginger fizz.
For mains, Sole Meunniere, Prawn Erral Assad and Kohzi Kari Vindail are great.
The highlight of all our meals here have always been the crepes. Their Chicken Ham & cheese and Chocolate ganache & ice cream are both heavenly.
Parking can be tricky here as the restaurant next to it has valet, and they use up most of the space. Carpool or take a cab if you can.
